Basics of Mosaic Crochet (In-Store) / Jan. 18

Learn how to create mosaic crochet using single and double crochet stitches while making a simple mug rug. 

One colour of yarn is used for each row while crocheting in either the back loops or dropping down to work in the front loop of stitches two rows below. 

In this workshop, you will learn:

• The 2 basic stitches used to make Overlay Mosaic Crochet
• How to follow a written mosaic pattern
• How to finish your mug rug
• Other ways to use mosaic crochet

Materials needed to make a mosaic mug rug:

• Yarn - 50 g each of two colours of worsted weight cotton yarn
• Crochet Hook - 4.5 or 5 mm
• Scissors
