How to Read a Knitting Chart (In-Store) / TBD

This workshop will take your pattern reading skills to the next level! Once you've conquered lace, cable, and mosaic knitting charts, you could knit nearly any pattern!

Over two hours, you will learn the basics of reading charts both for in-the-round and flat knitting. You will be introduced to a variety of symbols, and you will try your hand at creating various patterns strictly from charts so that you can gain comfort in this important skill.

You will need:

• three sets of needles to work whatever weight of yarn you bring
• four bits of yarn (not much of each is needed), with two being the same weight of yarn 
• a ruler, pattern holder, or highlighter tape

Note: The designs you'll be working are for coasters, so if you want to finish them, we recommend worsted weight dishcloth cotton and 4.5 or 5 mm needles.
