Overlay Mosaic Crochet (In-Store) / TBD

Saturday, February 8, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

This technique uses one colour of yarn per row while crocheting in either the back loops or dropping down to work in the front loop of stitches two rows below. Mosaic crocheting is great for making blankets and so many other beautiful items for your home. The graphic patterns available are endless.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• the two basic stitches used to make Overlay Mosaic Crochet
• how to work from right to left and follow a chart pattern
• tips to make blankets

Materials needed to make a mosaic mug rug:

Small size:

• yarn - 25 g each of two colours of DK weight cotton yarn
• crochet hook 3.5 - 4 mm
• scissors

Large size:

• yarn - 50 g each of two colours of worsted weight cotton yarn
• crochet hook 4.5 or 5 mm
• scissors
