Someone to Write Gnome About (In-Store) / Sept. 20 & Oct. 4

Love knitting socks but want to try something different? Create a whimsical gnome for Christmas!

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of gnome/toy construction including stuffing, sewing pieces, increasing and decreasing, and doing a three-needle bind off.

Participants should be comfortable casting on, knitting, and purling. Working in the round with 2 circular needles will be demonstrated, but DPNs or magic loop can be used.

Pattern and polyfil are included in the price of this class.

You will need:

• 1 skein striping sock yarn
• 1 skein coordinating solid colour
• 42 yds cream-colour yarn for beard
• 10 stitch markers
• 2.25 mm & 2.5 mm needles (your choice--two circulars, long circular for magic loop, or double-points)
• toy pellets or dried beans (for weight)
