Advanced-Beginner

As an advanced-beginner knitter, you should have completed some projects and feel motivated and ready to tackle something with a bit more challenge. You should have the following skills:

• Can do at least one type of increase and one type of decrease
• Can knit in the round
• Can read your knitting
• Can tink (take out knitting stitch by stitch)
• Can follow simple patterns

As an advanced-beginner crocheter, you should have the following skills:

• Slip, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, and half treble crochet stitches
• Do simple shaping
• Do simple colour changes
• Be able to count your stitches
