November 7 & 14, 4 to 6 p.m.
Beginning to think about Christmas? Interested in learning more about basic toy construction? Think about going GNOME for the holidays!
This pattern by Alan Dart is a great introduction to knitting toys. All pieces of the gnome are knitted flat using basic stitches and then are seamed. You will learn about toy construction and assembly, including mattress stitch, stuffing the toy, and using beanbags and pipe cleaners to help shape and pose the toy.
This is a beginner-level workshop, but participants should be comfortable knitting, purling, increasing and decreasing. Some materials are included in the cost of the workshop.
