Intro to Colourwork Mittens (In-Store) / TBD

Sunday, February 1, 3 to 5 p.m.

Have you ever been awed by beautiful Nordic-style colourwork mittens? In this class, you will learn how to carry floats in colourwork, read a colourwork mitten chart, do increases in colourwork, and put stitches on hold for the thumb. This class uses the two-handed colourwork technique, but you are welcome to use whatever colourwork technique you are most comfortable with. 

(Recommended prerequisite: Intro to Stranded (Two-Handed) Colourwork or some previous colourwork experience.)

You will need: 

• two contrasting colours of worsted weight yarn (approx. 50 g each)
• size 3.5 mm DPNs, 9" circular needles, or 32" circular needles for magic loop
• darning needle and waste yarn or a stitch holder

The cuff will be completed as homework before the class.
