Using the KnitCompanion App / TBD
Have you ever picked up a project after a break but lost where you were? Or confused your row count with your pattern repeat count? Have you ever found a pattern or chart too small to read? Or looked forward to knitting in the car only to realize 10 minutes into the ride that you forgot your pattern on the printer?
The solution to all these challenges is KnitCompanion, a free app for your phone, tablet, or laptop. Track your place in a pattern, add project notes, count your repeats, zoom in to read even the smallest print (or chart)--and more! (While the basic app is free, we do recommend signing up for a one-week trial of the paid app just before the class so you can see all that it can do while in the class!)
This short, lecture-style workshop will highlight some of the must-have features of the free app and also introduce you briefly to the additional features of the paid version so you can decide which version meets your needs.
Participants should have access to a device with the app installed on it, separate from the device for watching the Zoom class. Note that we will discuss both Android and Apple versions of the app, but the presenter is using an Apple product.
