Christopher Bunny can be ready in time for Easter!
The adorable Christopher Bunny by Susan B. Anderson is brilliantly constructed seamlessly from the head down. It is stuffed as you go so that when you are finished knitting, your bunny is complete. In this session, we will have fun knitting the head with double-pointed needles and practise the techniques needed to knit all parts of the bunny. You will learn how to:
- Avoid ladders while knitting on DPNsÂ
- Make KFB increases
- Make a jogless join in the round
- Pick up stitches for ears and body
- Attach safety eyes or embroider eyes
- Embroider the nose
- Stuff as you go
What you need:
- Worsted weight yarn – 250 yards/100 grams (including clothing amount)
- DPNs in size 4.5 mm or 5 mm
- Safety eyes (or you can use provided embroidery floss)
- Tapestry needle
- A way to identify needles as 1, 2, 3 (I used coloured stitch markers)
- Locking stitch markers
- The pattern, which is available for purchase on Ravelry (but not available through us--sorry!)
What will be provided:
- Fibrefill for the whole bunny
- Black embroidery floss
The pattern is unfortunately not available through the store, so participants will need to buy it themselves on Ravelry.
