There's no time like the present to expand your knitting skills! If you can knit and purl but haven't yet tackled much more than a scarf, we will help you build your knitting repertoire while also creating a gorgeous shawl. In this three-session workshop, you will learn the following:

  • keeping track of your progress through a pattern
  • increasing and decreasing
  • reading a chart
  • creating cable stitches
  • knitting lacework
  • blocking a shawl

For this workshop, you will need:

  • 3.75 mm 32" or 40" circular needles
  • two 100 g skeins of fingering weight yarn (two colours)
  • cable needle
  • stitch markers
  • your choice of tool for tracking your way through a pattern (e.g., KnitCompanion, highlighter tape, pattern holder)
